Electricity charges

Having stayed from Saturday 5pm through to Thursday 7am, I was initially given an electricity bill for £75.12.
Having disputed the high level of this bill, it was reduced to £49.79. Then I asked for a detailed breakdown as this still seemed high. Eventually, my bill was determined at £21.55, which seemed more in keeping with my usage. Moral of the story is CHECK your bill and ask for EVIDENCE.

This happened to us a few years ago and when we refused to pay the bill they said they would speak to the manager. We were able to produce our bills from previous years and lo and behold the amount was reduced to an acceptable amount.Makes you wonder whether they are they reseting the meter after each visit?

I actually thought that at some point excess Electricity Charges were so frequent and complaints so high from Owners that a decision had been made that on each entry date Owners were handed Electricity Figure for their H/L and on Day of Departure Final Elec Figure was noted by Staff and copy handed to Owner with Elec Units used shown, this enabled owners to clearly see if they were being overcharged. This seem to work quite well until the Rogue Committee from pre-Covid period started treating LRHC as their personal Fiefdom and changed all manner of things without consulting owners. Perhaps it's time to restart that less some slip back into old bad habits?
