When was our last Newsletter? It seems ages ago and we're wondering if we were missed off the last mailing. Our family tell us that the Lodges were all occupied when they were there last week which is great news. They enjoyed their meals and a pre Lodge entry stay at the Hotel which was also super, so all seems to be going well there. They also commented on the efficiency and pleasantness of the Office staff, which is good to hear. But with everything bustling along in LRHC and the Hotel's new facilities opening next month, it would be good to hear all the good news in a Newsletter and we certainly don't want to miss out on that! So if anyone recollects when the last Newsletter came please, can you let us know?
On another topic entirely, Lodge Sales and Purchases are up and bustling! Someone in our family had advertised 2 of their Lodge weeks for Sale and Julie Voules (LRHC Sales and Purchases) phoned them with an offer. The Assignation is currently going through. Coincidentally we were considering purchasing in another time of year, contacted Julie and that Purchase/Assignation is going through too! Julie was very well informed and on the ball, kept in touch frequently and the Office staff are processing the paperwork very efficiently. Julie said that in the week we bought, she had already sold another 3 Lodges - is this positive impact of the Hotel? Let's hope so and that it continues.

On the face of it, that's all very encouraging. But, as the bean counters would say, "show me the numbers." Not long ago we were bribing buyers to take the weeks away from us. What prices are being asked / achieved now? Are we still in negative equity?

In response to Mr. Waddingham's query, we thought the price we paid for the Lodge weeks we are purchasing was not low, not inflated, just realistic. Certainly the Lodge was not being given away! We haven't discussed the price the family member asked for their Lodge weeks, but were bought for a similar price to what they themselves paid a few years ago and were satisfied with that. They weren't out to make a profit but needed a larger Lodge for a growing family. However if someone bought a Lodge back in the mists of time when prices were inflated, we sadly doubt that you will ever be out of negative equity. It is sad to hear that people cannot stay in their Lodges now because of age or ill health, but do talk with Ann or Julie about selling - they are most helpful and being very proactive in selling Lodges. We were discussing LRHC yesterday with a friend who is also a Lodge Owner and they have just bought a week at another time of year, so now they are staying at LRHC in May and October. If so many sales/purchases are taking place within our circle of friends, it must surely be happening with other Owners too? And of course those who have rented this year may well love Rannoch as much as we do and be considering buying! It's good to read in another Post that the Resort is full - long may it continue!

Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Atkinson. Seems like good news. We have no children . We bought in 1994 for £2000 sight unseen because we knew Loch Rannoch area quite well and were never upset by our purchase. Unfortunately now, being in our late 70's and faced with a 350 mile each way drive, the "holiday" is becoming less attractive especially given that a few people think I should have stopped driving a few years ago. In Perpetuity says I must keep my licence!!

Good morning Mr. Waddingham. We would recommend contacting Julie via the Office and ask her about selling or renting your Lodge. She will be able to tell you about the process and the price you could expect for your Lodge. It's good to hear that like us, you have enjoyed many stays at Rannoch. How sad that you are now unable to travel, but hopefully Julie and Anne will be able to help with selling.
