We owned weeks in Osprey and a Highland Lodge which we loved to bits, but with mobility issues getting worse we contacted the Club to find out if any swaps were available. Julie was amazing! She told us which Lodges were available in our preferred weeks, discussed how Accessible they were and quickly arranged the exchange of weeks. She really has her finger on the pulse! The Office Staff were super too and with Fees paid we were able to buy one Accessible Lodge, exchange Osprey for another and Julie put us in touch with a family who were interested in buying our Highland. A few weeks later and all our worries were over and we owned 2 more Accessible Lodges. Thank you to all Staff involved.

However we do feel that it is time for the Club to address making more Lodges Accessible please. Walk in showers, raised toilets, outside ramps instead of steps where possible, rails next to steps and please get rid of the high sills on doors which impede both pedestrians and wheelchairs. It can also be difficult to get into some conservatories because of high steps - how about buying some half steps which can be loaned to those needing them please? Some doors may need to be widened for wheelchair access too please. Seating can also be a problem for those with mobility problems, so when furniture is replaced, could it please be with high easy chairs with arms, high conservatory furniture with arms and at least one dining chair with - yes, you've guessed it- arms!

We realise that some Lodges would be impossible to make Accessible, but there are others in which it is feasible and still have not yet been improved. We hope that you never suffer from mobility issues, but we're all getting steadily older and these items in the above paragraph would make stays at Rannoch possible for more. We've been Owners at the LRHC for over twenty years and love our holidays there, but for the first time have had to face the prospect of not being able to access a Lodge. Thanks to the Staff and Committee who made Lodge Ownership possible for us, but please continue to make the improvements required to make more Lodges Accessible. Thank you.
